Director of Speech Language Pathology
Angela Desideri is an internationally recognized Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) who has earned distinction from multiple organizations including the United States House of Representatives, San Diego Autism Society, and school districts across the nation. She achieved her Master’s Degree, with Honors, from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1999.
Angela is an American Speech Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certified continuing education provider, licensed by the state of California as an (SLP). Her professional experience includes extensive evaluations and specialized treatment of children with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other communication disorders. Angela routinely conducts in-depth consults with parents, (SLP) professionals, and school districts to implement new innovative assistive technologies including the iPad into both classroom and home settings.
Angela is a highly sought after expert on the topics of “iPad as Assistive Technology” and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and has been a keynote speaker at numerous symposiums throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. Her most recent achievement is co-creator of SpeechTree™; an evidenced based communication learning and AAC learning program/app for iPad.
Angela is a trusted mentor and supervisor to several outstanding professionals who have subsequently obtained advanced degrees in the field of Speech-Language Pathology. She has proudly served on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Autism Society and writes a blog for Advance Magazine for Speech Language Pathologists entitled “AAC and Assistive Technology: Practical Tips and Strategies” .
